The Manatees and the St Johns River with a twist!

Coming from Sarasota and staying in Mt Dora, John and Cathie decided a tour of the St Johns River was in order. November 20th, 2014 and the river had a lot to share with us today. There are dozens of Manatees coming and going and I think we saw the worlds largest today with 4 others following it. It had to have been over 13 feet! We also got to see this 10 ft Alligator chase a 7 footer right out of the spring run. Out in the back woods we got to see a Snowy Egret standing on top of a Manatee feeding. Cool stuff it is to watch Mother Nature at work. There are lots of birds out too. Great Blue Herons, Great Egrets, Little Blues and White Ibis, Anhingas, Limpkins, Red-shouldered Hawks and even a Black-crowned Night Heron. It was an action packed day to say the least!
