Celebrating Christmas with the wildlife of Central Florida

One of the best things about being on the river is its ever-changing. One of the best things about the holidays is being able to celebrate with friends and family! Today we had an awesome time paddling together. We saw a few rarities such as the Glossy Ibis that graced us with his presence and we got to see Wild Turkeys fly from one side of the river to the other. The Limpkins are calling to each other now that their chicks have arrived which is the classic sound track of the St Johns in Winter. We saw a few Gators out sunning and watched one swim across the river as we paddled by. Then the Manatees came out to play with us. The Burr Marigold is throwing shades of yellow and that beautiful blue Florida sky was with us all day long.
