A Kayaking Safari Central Florida Style

With a false Spring going on it was 85 degrees and sunny. The Great Blue Herons are building their nests preparing for their young. The Limpkins are raising theirs and the rest of the birds are getting silly pairing up. Great and Snowy Egrets are wearing their breeding plumage too. The turtles took advantage of the sunshine and climbed out on the logs and the Gators were doing their thing. Pink-eyed Pete showed up and swam across the river in front of us. He's a big ole boy so that gave us a nice thrill. The Osprey was flying overhead looking for fish to catch while the Bald Eagle was our sentinel of the day. It was a beautiful morning to be kayaking the St Johns River.
